Be it good or bad, our health care system does not support a plan of care focused on maintenance or preventative medicine. It is reactive rather than proactive. For the most part, insurance coverage ensures care is provided to help most people achieve a basic level of function. Because of this, insurance reimbursement has its limits and, as a physical therapist who would like to be paid by insurance companies, I must and will follow their rules.

However, there are times when a patient no longer qualifies for "skilled" physical therapy services, but desires continued therapy intervention. This is a difficult position I have struggled with in the past. But now, I've started a practice where your choice and your beliefs on what your body needs matters most.

I've devised a system where patients who have reached the standard criteria for discharge in accordance to insurance companies are able to continue their therapy journey using a private pay system. In general, your sessions will not change significantly. They will still be completed with a skilled physical therapist rationale and guidance. You will be challenged to achieve your goals, even when those goals are beyond what is defined as "medical necessity". Because quality of life means functional participation in all aspects of life YOU deem important, let me help you continue toward your optimal goals, or, enjoy the connection to a therapist ready and able to keep you doing your exercises well, progress and modify activities as needed, and ensure that the hard earned gains you made while in physical therapy treatment are not lost following discharge.
Not a patient, but want guidance along your fitness journey? Have you tried exercise in the past but struggle to know what to do? Or, are you like the majority of people who have awesome intentions but find that life gets in the way of consistent fitness participation? What if you invested your time and money into a system that can:
- teach movement and exercises with doctoral precision
- guide body mechanics using concepts of osteo and arthrokinematics to decrease risk of injury
- utilize tools such as hands on muscle release, and modalities when or if a new or old injury creates challenges with compliance
- provide education behind the what and why of each activity from stretching, to strengthening, balance, and more
- apply a background in fitness training and kinesiology to appropriately prescribe and dose exercise and movement to achieve your goals
