My name is Rachel Richers, and I’m a licensed physical therapist preparing to launch a solo private practice under the name The Kinetic Touch Physical Therapy and Wellness PLLC.  I have practiced physical therapy for the past 8 years in Marion Iowa. 7 of those years were in an out patient orthopedic setting, and the past year I have worked at a care center working with the geriatric population. My clinic will specialize in superior provision of one-on-one, patient centered care tailored to individuals of all ages, in the realm of orthopedic rehabilitation, wellness, and preventative medicine. At The Kinetic Touch Physical Therapy and Wellness PLLC, our patients are treated in regards to their whole body function and are educated to understand the “what” behind their injury, pain, or deficits, and the “why” behind their individualized intervention. Through the combination of hands on joint and muscle restriction addressment, exercise prescription specifically designed for each patient’s individual needs, The Kinetic Touch will exceed the current standards of practice known to treat only patient diagnosis. My favorite quote provides insight into how I choose to practice medicine. ”You treat a diagnosis, you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee, you'll win, no matter what the outcome.” From the Robin Williams classic movie Patch Adams, the concept of bring the human touch and patient centered care back to medicine is what I choose to employ with every patient, client, and neighbor who walks through my door.
